Adolphe-Marie-Pierre de Circourt (1801-79), married Anastasie de Klustine in 1830. On their return from foreign travel to Paris in 1836 they established a successful salon at 11 rue des Saussaies until the death of Madame de Circourt in 1863.

Regulars at the salon included Turgenev, A. de Vigny, Lamartine, Thiers Humboldt and Merimée was a friend.

Goldschmidt was most likely a visitor as well, judging from Merimée's letter of March 1858.
